Linda Whent

Dr. Linda Whent serves as Director of Grants Management for the Center for Transnational Health, University of California, Davis (UCD). She received her BS in Animal Science, Masters in Education, and secondary Science Teaching Credential at UCD, and PhD in Agricultural Education from Iowa State University. Dr. Whent serves as Grant Manager for a USDA AFRI grant to study childhood Obesity in the California Central Valley and the Bioterrorism Response Planning Partnership (BRPP) Grant, a federally funded Cal Redi Grant to move disease reporting to a central electonic system, accessible to all public health agencies in California. Dr. Whent's research focus has been an investigation of the delivery of science knowledge to audiences throughout the K-16 educational system, targeting science education for English Language Learners.
